As part of the SJMA Architects consulting team, DEi conducted structural review of the Red Antiquities Building which is a turn-of-the-century historical landmark of the Wellington Street corridor. Our work included design of a new foundation onto which the existing building was placed, reinforcement design of floor and roof members in a manner which preserved the heritage aspects of the structure while upgrading the building load capacity to the current Ontario Building Code for commercial occupancy.
